Tooko is a very talkative boy. He is well behaved and gets along well with other dogs.
Tooko loves having belly rubs and attention from people. He will be a great family dog. All he wants is to be loved.
He is very vocal and will tell you all about how he feels. He loves to communicate with people by screaming and howling.
Tooko is friendly with other dogs but has not been around cats. Like everyone, he does get an attitude sometimes and can be a bit judgy.
Tooko is an amazing boy with a big heart. Aside from his outside beautiful appearance, he also has a beautiful heart, he just needs a family to give his heart to.
Meet Ghost! She is a one year old husky. She was rescued with the rest of her litter after spending 11 months in a kennel. She got her name from her amazing ability to disappear and reappear like a ghost. She is a very sweet girl, but she does need a lot of training.
Because of extensive time she spent in a kennel, Ghost is just now seeing the world for the first time. She is curious and likes to get into things, she is not currently house trained and she really loves to chew which seems to be easily redirected with chew toys.
Because Ghost spent so much of her life in isolation, she does experience fear around people. She is not aggressive in anyway but she will perform her disappearing act when approached too quickly. Ghost would best benefit from a home with a family who is patient and understanding and willing to work with her through her very fixable issues. She is dog friendly and would prefer to have a play mate in her home.
Meet Clyde! Or Bruce, the nickname given to him by the rescue Drifter’s K9 Castaways because he resembles Batman (Bruce Wayne) with his very unique mask. He responds well to both names now :) Clyde was taken in by AHRO but he is currently staying with DKC in Batesville, AR. He is adoptable through both rescues and can easily be transported back to Alma if needed.
Clyde is a very sweet, super dog friendly, non aggressive boy. He is about 2 years old. We are not sure exactly what happened to him, but he seems to have a large fear of men. He does great with women after a little time getting to know them. He loves playing outside and enjoys having time with his best dog friends.
Clyde would do great in a home with where a woman would be there to spend lots of time with him. He would really love it if he had another dog friend to play with but would probably do just fine as an only dog as well. He is good with kids also. He needs someone patient and understanding of his fears that is willing to work with him to build a strong relationship.
Meet Togo! He is a one year old husky. He is a very talkative boy and a bit of an escape artist. He has a strong personality, but sadly he has a few issues he is working through. He and the rest of his litter were rescued together having no life outside of a kennel for their first 11 months of life. Togo is pre-adoptable at this time as he is currently still on the list to be vetted. Once he has been fully vetted he will be ready for the right family to adopt him.
Togo loves other dogs, he has been introduced to many others at the rescue and has made friends with them all. He really loves his chew toys and finding creative ways to escape his kennel, but don’t worry, we have found what works to keep him in. He is very intelligent and pays close attention to small details. He is a fast leaner and very curious.
Togo unfortunately has the same downfall as most of the others in his litter, he is scared of people. He will run when approached too quickly but once you get to him, he loves pets, especially behind his ears. It’s easy to see that he wants to be loved but he is just unsure of how to accept it right now. Finding a family that is willing to work with him and be patient and understanding would be the breakthrough that he needs to overcome his challenges.
